After the Israelites departed Marah, they came to Elim, a place having seventy palms. There is a location about one day's journey or 10 miles away that still has an oasis. The yellow rings in the image below represent 10 miles, which is about one day's journey for the Israelites. Elim would have to be roughly 40 miles from the place they emerged from their sea crossing, since the Bible indicates they have gone 4 day's journey (3 days to Marah and 1 day to Elim).
