The Red Sea Crossing

Nicolas Poussin The Crossing of the Red Sea c.1634

Many have often wondered where the Israelites crossed the Red Sea. If you look in the back of various Bibles (assuming they have maps), you will likely see a variety of Red Sea crossing locations, from Bible to Bible.

The Red Sea Crossing takes a look at the most practical place the Israelites would have crossed at. Marching models were constructed to come up with an average distance the Israelites could have gone in a day over local terrain (Egypt). Bodies of water that were within marching distance (using Scripture) were examined. The most likely location was then determined.
