Abila is a city of ancient Syria, its location is Tel Abil
Abila is not mentioned in the Scriptures by name, the term "Decapolis"
(ten cities) is specifically referred to three times, with connection to Jesus'
ministry. It was an important town on the imperial highway from Damascus to
Heliopolis (Baalbek).
