Meaning - house of ease
A Canaanite village in the Valley of Jezreel. It is best known in the Bible as the place where the Philistines hung the bodies of Saul and his sons (1 Samuel 31:10). Beth-shan is associated with Tell el-Hosn next to the modern village of Beisan.
