Land of Moriah

Abraham is commanded by God to journey to the land of Moriah and offer up Isaac as a sacrifice. The precise location of this event is still debated. There are many who believe that the temple mount is the place where this event took place. However, others believe it occurred at a different location. The temple location (741 meters above sea level) is not the highest point. An area just north of the temple mount is actually higher, at 777 meters above sea level (view north area). Another name for this site is Golgotha which means the Skull. Could this site be the same location that Isaac was to be sacrificed and Jesus was crucified?
